Overview
What?
Global Expert Finder (GEF) gives journalists and media professionals fast, free, direct access to some of the world’s leading commentators, analysts and academics.
Commentators listed on GEF have expertise in various topics, including politics, law, education, women’s rights, human rights, terrorism, globalization, religion, and art.
Experts can speak to journalists in multiple languages, including Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, and others.
GEF is also a resource for audio and video interviews of experts on current issues that journalists are free to use as per their reporting needs.
Why?
Global Expert Finder was developed by the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations to bring more diverse views and broaden debates on issues of religious and political tensions between countries, regions, and within communities.
How?
By providing journalists with fast, free, and direct access to experts, GEF enables experienced commentators to share analyses, give interviews, and provide quotes that may help create a clearer understanding of potentially divisive issues in the media.
Every effort has been made to represent a wide range of cultural, political, sociological, linguistic and regional backgrounds. Each expert has a strong track record in engaging with media to provide timely, informed and independent views on current issues. Read about our selection process here.
Global Expert Finder is a growing resource and new experts are added periodically. We are interested in your feedback and welcome suggestions for new experts to list on the resource.
